Hi

Bit of clarification please.

When I want to drill a hole in a joist it says in the building regs book that the hole should be between 0.25 and 0.4 x the span.

so is the span the entire length of the joist from front to back of building or is it between the supports? ie in the kitchen i'm doing its 4x4m and all of the walls are supporting walls.

Many Thanks
