P=I squaredxR=4 watts
Ohm's Law

or even p=EI cos

this would also give you the true power. So i guess im giving myself the answer, i couldnt see it for looking at it. Do you guys remember this or is there something you refer to for formulas. Ohms law is straight forward enough to remember its just the more complex ones im refering to.

Jboy,

I found the easiest way to remember all the variations of equations in the beginning until you're used to them was to try and asociate a name or place with each one i.e - Ivy Watts for power etc. It's whatever works for you.:)
