OP, think before you receive answers, you might need to say whether you are home owner who's had the work done, DIY done the work yourself or electrician/trainee. Only say that, cos these types of posts have been before, and there's certain amount of confusion to start.

PS: and a bit more info on the install

Depends on the existing set up. There isn't a definitive answer

I am City & Guilds electrical courses 2nd year level 2 , I try do the job for my girl house, after Bedroom Extension done she want increase the number of sockets in a room (electrics in extension only)
the builder man ask me Building Regulations Compliance Certificate that confirms check, I am not sure it's an extension of an existing circuit is it need minor works cert?

thanks

In England if you are adding sockets to an existing circuit you would inspect and test the work you have done and issue a minor electrical installation works certificate in order to comply with the wiring regulations.
The circuit would also need to comply with the building regulations but would not require notification to building control nor the issue of a building regulations compliance certificate by a self certification scheme.

I've call Electrical Safety Register (an electrician registered with a third-party certification scheme) come a quote for part P £120 if MWC £100 why? which one a the building regulations need cert?

would need an electrical installation cirtificate, a minor works isnt an addition to a circuit (im studying gn3 atm)

Not correct.

A minor works is all that is required.

The minor works certificate is intended to be used for alterations or additions to an installation that do not extend to the provision of a new circuit.
Examples include the addition of socket outlets or lighting points to an existing circuit.

The above is taken straight from GN3.

Please tell me this post is a wind up. If it's not there may be some EU sponsored course the OP can enrol on to develop his English skills, prior to a series of electrical development ones.
