Is this safe?

Hi everyone. I just had an electric toilet seat installed (bidet - warms and shoots water, heats seat, etc). I think some protection was installed on the cable run (rcd?). However I noticed under the cistern some tape was used with the toilet seat cable and main electrical supply.
Is this safe?

There is no need to remove the tape, it won’t help us and will possibly leave it in a more dangerous condition

is there a rating plate on the appliance, or do you have the instruction book. It will say if it’s 230v or 12 maybe 24v

Yes there's a switch outside the bathroom wall (I think they said rcd?). I will post a pic but won't be until I get home late tonight sorry (key worker).

You work at Timpsons? Didn't know they paid enough to afford heated bidets.

Regardless of rcd, That is as rough as a dogs arse ! Get them back to sort it, If not report them, although I doubt that will make much difference to anyone who works to that standard

I must say I haven’t seen many recently installed connector block n tape joints , most are a few years old at least.
Have come across quite a few wago tape joints recently thou.
Especially on new builds with lots of down lights. Come across loads of taped up wagos.
Clearly the boxes are far too expensive...

Maybe the sparky put the supply in and never came back once the toilet was installed, and the wetpants (plumber) connected it?
