Discuss Led Lamp still dim when 2 way + intermediate switches are off in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Landing light is not fully switching off when operating the 3 switches on the landing/hallway.
A small voltage (less than 40v) is present between the switched live and neutral.
After trying a new lamp it worked fine.
Any ideas anyone??

Adjacent cables can impose a small voltage on un powered cables, such as the three core cable in multi way switching.
Because LED lights need very little power to operate and having a capacitor on the input they can be charged sufficiently to glow or pulse even though the switches are off.
