Hi,

We are doing a bathroom renovation and I can't find a light or a mirror with light that I like. I would like to buy a simple mirror that suits the style I am going for with a wooden frame, and then mount that mirror on a MDF background slight smaller than the mirror. I would like that MDf background to have an LED strip going around it, hardwired into the place the 50s vanity light is at the moment, with a motion sensor at the bottom for switching on and off. I was thinking products like the below. Can you tell me if these are what I should be looking at, and if it's a suitable thing to do for a bathroom mirror? It's not an idea that seems to sit easily with our electrician so I wan't to check I'm not asking something ridiculous. He said it would be a question of trial and error but I'm not sure why, so would like advice on where to start off.
