Has anyone tried installing an LED lamp into a low voltage shower fan/light fitting?

If so has the transformer been up to running the LED rather than halogen?

guess at not. LEDs need a special tranny. think it's a trailing edge type. if youre thinking of this, price for a tranny as well.

Thought it were dimmers that needed to be trailing edge type.

Decided to quote for a standard ceiling grille and just put a down light in place of where the fan was to go.

Agreed, came across some which needed 5V only, the white ones I used for the stairs, whlsimthe blue ones in the kitchen are 12v ... Strange standards.
