If on a EICR you were to come across lighting with no cpcs. Is this acceptable. Presumably if it's all plastic ad class II products and fittings then maybe it could be but I'm think really it will need cpcs to be run with it. Even at light switch withe tak backbones as in the event of a fault the the screws could bbecome love?
 
Here is the ESC guide to EICRs, it does mention this and has it down as a C2 although it is upto the person carrying out the reports what they give it, as they can asses it accordingly.

There are many, many metal class 2 fitting available on the market, some lighting companies specialise in providing Class 2 light fittings. Take a look on the web, and you'll see what i mean...

Light switches can be fitted to metal back boxes, using plastic screws. ...I'm pretty sure i've seen class 2 rated metal light switches too though!! ...lol!!
