Hi respected friends, With regards to LV downlighters into loft space what is everbody doing about insulation ? what is the correct procedure for dealing with insulation a foot thick ?obviously you need to keep the tranny clear and cool but what else should be done ?.
Cheers Friends :)

Re: Haj

I had the same problem and fitted insulation support boxes that came flat pack.Made up they fitted between ceiling joists and insulation was rolled over them.

Amicus how much did they cost you ? cheeky but if you dont ask you dont know

thanks Jason. Puts quite a bit on top of the price may be hard to sell to the customer but the job needs to be RIGHT.
cheers :)

Make a 500mm chimney of plasterboard and baton Cut some 2 or 3 inche holes in the top/sides and plonk them over the fittings
Simple and cheap
