Hi, looking for some advice on 13amp socket outlets in medical location group 2 supplied from IT/IPS transformers.
Completing 5 year EICR on hospital, and at the moment we are not carrying out any tests on above circuits only entering the circuit details and note in operational limitations.
These supplies/circuits are supposed to be checked annually (IMD's and supplementary equipotential bonding) and 3 yearly check on leakage current of output circuits.
As there are no records of above annual and 3 yearly tests being carried out,and the circuits are not coverd under the scope of the EICR are we correct to enter as limitation and pass the responsibility of testing these supplies back to the hospital maintenance team.
Any advice welcome.
 
Leave such installations to the hospital's maintenance dept. You really need to have an in-depth knowledge of these medical rooms, as well as the special testing requirements involved...
