Mike the African Electrician software for wiring diagrams

Hi I am new to this forum came upon it by way of chance i am from South Africa and am a qualified electrician I am at present refurbishing various machines for a number of industries and I am looking for a suitable software program to document and draw wiring diagrams for the circuits I wire up.What i have in mind should be something relativly straightforward perhaps I could attach a page or two from a German built machine, could you suggest something Thanking You Mike

Never used it myself but I believe a popular one is AutoCAD Electrical although its not a cheap software. Here's a link:

You could also try microsoft Visio.

i had visio 2003 which was very good, ive now got visio 2007 which i'am still trying to get mt head round

I would recommend See Electrical Light as being very good for a remarkably low price. There are higher versions if you need more advanced functionality, but you can start with the Light version and upgrade later if required.

IGE+XAO software publisher, specialized in Electrical CAD and PLM.

I use Visio, pretty simple to use.
The reflected ceiling diagrams come in handy for working out spacings for spots on dodgy ceiling shapes.

What version are you on mate, because i'am not geeting on with 2007 at all. just wondered if it's just me. cheers

its the 2007 version, upgraded all microsoft 2003 to 2007, takes a bit of getting used to at first but is definately better.
