I personally think we need to get this forum a little more active. I appreciate that people work and are busy but I'd like to see more fault finding questions from our mentors, pictures with faults that we can identify, and maybe some sort of 'learning games' type of thing... Anyone?

but not only the mentors, the trainees too. I think more questions from us lot generally help each other out, but what's great to see is the TRAINEES answering TRAINEES questions, after all this is what it's all about.

This part of the forum, for me personally is such a useful place, I visit it numerous occasions everyday. I love to see it more active and flowing with a bit of structure to it :)

anyway, I hope movement of you agree with me :)
lets discuss it here eh?

cheers

I'll be honest again, James, I think you might be asking a little too much of the individuals who volunteer their time to this area of the forum. However, I do agree, I would love a steady stream of fault finding questions! And I know you are actively employed, so do be sure to share your own experiences if you encounter any particularly interesting faults of your own.

I don't know if you are aware of the Swindon Massive portal? The web design is lamentable, but there is an awful lot of useful content there.

And games? Check out Electric Box. I didn't learn a thing...

We are on break now, but when I return I'll attempt to recruit a few more students on my course just as we motion towards the end of the 2365 L3. I think that would be useful.

I really appreciate the help that the forum mentors provide us with here and I am grateful. I personally think we may need a few more mentors to keep things flowing. As sometimes this forum goes a few days without a post.

And yes I'm aware of the Swindon Massive website it's a great resource. Helped me pass my H&S exam just recently. Ill check the other ones, cheers Happy Jack.

Its a bit difficult for us mentors to post up some of the faults we come across due to what you lot are learning in college. Some faults are beyond level 2 and 3 teachings and I personally dont want to post stuff up that may confuse your education. Came across a great fault last week on a cu change but it was a situation that they dont teach in school (so to say). Ill post up a fault thread on it but Ill have to water it down a bit without all the info because it would confuse the matter. It is also difficult to write such such faults in a way that is understandable to everyone and other mentors feel the same unless they are in the educational field and do it for a living unlike me.

Good point Floody, we do need get this place up and running with more members and more posts/questions. Totally agree with you, lets see what happens. Remember its down to us lot (mentors and trainees) to build this place up. I'll put a bit more time into it and see what I can come up with.

While I appreciate your stance, in my opinion that only increases its value; I'd love to hear exactly what the the issue was.

See. Now I'm curious to hear what elements of that fault would serve to confuse.
