Customer wants me to mount his EV charger on the back of an external, plastic meter cabinet. The cabinet is a new plastic one at the other side of his drive from the house with a separate consumer unit inside. This would be an ideal location for ease of installation.

Is this allowed or will I have to mount the charger on a separate post?

Can't find the regulation on this one. I have a sneaking suspicion it might be frowned upon by the DNO??

Any internal view? What’s all inside?
Looks fairly easy to knock over. A steel bollard at each corner to protect?

Meter cabinets might have a sticker inside telling you not to use it for anything else.

The problem here is, if you drill the back to feed an EVCP, and water gets in, the DNO will blame you if their equipment gets damp and they need to attend.
