They aren't on the plumbers forum ............ so why on here @Sintra?
To keep people like you happy as you do seem to use the negatives quite regularly.

I doubt you've done proper research, but if and when I use them, I do quote the post and give a reason ....

I think they need to be removed.....

Why don't the plumbers have them then?

I can’t answer that question as I didn’t set up the forum software. If you feel the 3 ratings in question shouldn’t be there then don’t use them.

I've given you a dumb because these can be included or excluded - Dan could do this ................

And I’ve given you a dumb because that’s what you are !!!!!

Do you realise how ridiculous that sounds, do you honestly expect Dan to remove them just because you don't like them. As Sintra has already pointed out , if you don't like them then don't use them.

I disagree with you there mate.
If Old, Bad Spelling and Dumb could be removed then it would be a good thing.
See my post #55 for why.

I'm using the phone mate so can't see post numbers.
My point is that a member cannot hand out 79 Dumb ratings and then ask for the ratings to be removed because he got a couple, you must be aware of the saying.. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.

Tbh I’ve looked through at lot of members and what ratings they’ve given and those 3 are seldom used. The one person that sticks out that uses these 3 the most plus the disagree rating is our friend @Murdoch

@GMES @Sintra . I'm just talking from my point of view mates. I rarely give out bad ratings. As in the post above to @GMES , rather than giving a Disagree I just posted that I disagree and explained why.
Yes I have give out a few jut they are rare.
@GMES, the last 3 ratings (Old, Bad Spellings & Dumb) should be scrapped. Nothing constructive comes from them.
If I post something and someone thinks is Dumb then I'd prefer them to explain why. That way, if I'm being dumb, I will learn from it.... I learn nothing from someone just hitting the Dumb rating..

@Spoon I’m not disagreeing with you all that I’m trying to get over to @Murdoch is that he and one other appear to be the biggest users of these 3 ratings. If they did get removed then I have an inkling that they would use the disagree option instead. Personally I don’t use the negative ratings regularly and would prefer to critique in a reply.

In fairness to @Murdoch, there are a few low content members out there, that give 'dumbs' out, and very little else. I recall one guy give me a dumb for a very innocuous comment I made, which I challenged and he made no reply. Not surprising when he only posted about four times in 5 years!

I agree that there is an odd member like that but there wouldn’t be very many. That’s how this whole thread has gone completely off topic as someone like that pressed the dumb button on Doc.

Precisely

@Sintra .... please note that @jdtae has used the “dumb” button 31 times more that me when calculated by percentage of postings
.
My ratio about 0.5% .... often at @essex when he’s pulling “chains”
@jdtae about 15%

Action against him is far more sensible imho .....

@Murdoch big wow some guy has used the dumb button twice and I should be taking action against him. Well do you know what that isn’t going to happen. The rating is there to be used and it’s staying there so either use it or don’t it’s entirety up to you. Either way stop moaning on about others using it.
