I know that it is tempting to source your own gear to avoid any mark-up by the electrician, but as Tony says, let the electrician sort out what is best for your situation (after consulting you of course).
Don't forget that if you want any kind of warranty on what is installed, you won't get it from your electrician if you supplied it.

probably been on the screwfix forum and got someone to do it for £50
