Hello. I have an electrical issue.
In my living room, there are two sets of wall lights, each with two bulbs. Along with the ceiling lights and the sidelights dotted around (it's a big room!), they are controlled by a three-gang dimmer switch.
The problem is with one of the wall lights. Although one bulb works OK, even brand new bulbs won't work in the other socket. Also, the dimming aspect of the switch no longer works. (It works fine on the other two switches.)
It's been like this for ages now. It's possible that I mistakenly fitted a non-dimmable bulb, which might have caused the problem, but I'm normally pretty careful about that sort of thing.
Is it a simple matter of fitting a new 3-gang switch? Or does the fact that the other bulbs still work suggest the problem is with the light fitting itself?
