Hi all I need a bit of advice I recently fitted a new kitchen did all the electrics myself and got an electrician to check it all I have added plinth lights and undercupboard lights these are wired to a single fused switch 3 amp which is fed off my cooker switch. thing is I want to add a double light switch now so I can have either on is it safe to leave it as it is and add a switch I.e break into the feed after the fused connection switch to controll the lights individuall
 
it should not be a problem to do this, but if in any doubt, get the spark back to do it for you.

Make sure that the cable you have spurred off the cooker switch with is correctly rated for the MCB supplying the cooker circuit..
