The difference is the insulation is made of different materials. XLPE has a 90 degree operating temp as opposed to PVC which is 70

ccc? do you mean csa if so it depends who/where it was made , i,ve seen 70mm 4c with the same od. as 95mm 4c

if you mean CCC as current carrying capacity, then yes, XLPE does have a slighly higher current rating than PVC.

I think you mean the ''Insulation'' not the sheath. As the sheath is PVC on both XLPE and PVC insulated SWA cables mechelec...

would it be in areas with a greater ambient temp for instance???
