I think this coupled with a whole load of other stuff could mean a Labour (tory-lite) government but it's more likely to be another coalition if I'm honest. Who will be the leader? Probably Milliband but one thing is pretty much certain, Farage will not be a kingmaker.
One thing this could bring in is a kind of federalism, with the various regions wanting greater and greater autonomy.

I have to agree with you Trev, i think we will see the re-emergence of regionalisation, the idea that Prescott had where the country will be split into 9 political regions.

What salmond has done is produce a generation of 16-17 year olds who will now grow up with a chip on their shoulder blaming all their woes on the British way.

Ha ha. ....You don't need to be an expert on Scotland to see the pure folly in a Yes vote!!!

Well we'll all see tomorrow what the outcome of the referendum will be? Maybe, just maybe your esteemed leader will even start telling the Scottish public a few painful truths, if the yes vote wins the day, but then it will all be too late!! lol!!

Well the people have spoken and it was nay. So it looks like another Conservative (coalition?) government at the next general election that don't represent the people of Scotland (there's currently 1 conservative MP in Scotland) and more of the same old same old. Let's see how long it takes for all the 'no' campaign pie-crust promises made to melt in the mouth of the politicians.

Its interesting how disenfranchised English people are when I speak to them about politics. Oft mentioned is immigration, benefits, the a Middle East - I'd not be surprised if the Conservatives end up with a UKIP coalition?

Come the same time in October or November, do you think most people will still be talking about this?!?!

They'll just stare blankly in your face. It's just another event that's been and gone.

So there it is then, +1 for project fear.
some interesting results like 60/40% for no in fife, never seen that coming tbh.
wonder if all the promises made will come about?probably not.
the retired vote is the one that swung it as they were worried about pensions etc IMO .

DCF, I'm the eternal optimist, with any luck we'll all benefit from this result! :)

The scots made the right decision, just make sure you all vote for Labour next may and things will improve for you, the right wing politicians can be removed from power, you don't have to put up with the Tories forever, a good decision by you all, nearly 2 million to 1.55 million, thats a good majority.

I don't expect the yes campaign to lie down and do nothing. I reckon the result will be better for Scotland, we stay in the UK but I think gradually we will get more and more power.
You have a fair bit now to be honest, basically you have made the westminster fools decide to give all 4 nations more power so we may all benefit.

I can't imagine why 16 year old were even given the opportunity to vote in the first place, most haven't got a scooby doo about living in the real world, the vast majority of which will be relying on parents for keeping a roof over their heads let alone anything else. You can contribute much of that Yes vote, to young minds being whisked away on a nationalistic forray....

The man's a joke.
It amused me that his biggest stronghold of Glasgow had the lowest turnout!
Thank goodness he won't go in history as some big man.
Or is that what History changing people are like?!?!?

Probably how the joke got elected in the first place!! lol!!

For an obnoxious little man in a little pond, he certainly thinks a great deal about himself.

Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

i think he would have liked to go down in history whatever the result afterwards of a yes vote.

I like the statistics the best...2,001,926 voted No........1, 617, 989 voted yes
But 3,429 tick yes and no... or forgot to tick yes or no...or wrote their name on the ballot sheet..????

I wish I could afford to leave this stinking country,it does very little for it's own people, lets be honest the immigrants get treated better than people that were born here, plus london is systematically raping the rest of the uk financially.Warrington near me has only 6 police cars out on a weekend night due to cutbacks these are for the whole of the area not just the town centre ,big cities are struggling too yet in London you seem to see a cop on every street,I hate this stinking country and the people who run it.They are all for themselves and no one else,it's going back to the dark ages again, basically it's going to be the rulers and the peasants if something doesn't change.

No please no
But Google Tony Blair scroll down
Tony Blair liar
Tony Blair war criminal

I suppose Maggie Thatcher was your Goddess then?? Give me Tony Blair over that Cow any day of the week. If you want a world class liar, you can't go far wrong with that obnoxious bitch. And by the way, one of the major instigators/reasons of how the Scotland referendum came to pass in the first place. Do a little reading homework and you'll find out why....

Eng,you've been spoilt,working in a country with such a liberated,open and philanthropic government...:stooge_curly: (morning)

You ought to come and see for yourself, i think you'll be more than a little surprised... lol!! But then i'm only working here i'm not a ''permanent'' resident. To be honest i found many countries in the Middle East far more restrictive than China. I reckon/predict that within 50 years, China will not be a communist country. Day to day life here is anything but communist orientated, it's out and out capitalism with a capital C!! lol!!

The industrial provences of China, are just unbelievable. Thousands of factories lined up like a toy town, all competing with each other making the same products. Sherzance if i`ve spelt it properly, is larger than Manchester.

No you haven't spelt it correctly but i can't either off hand, but i know where you mean, if we're talking of the same place (closish to HK) it's not very far from where i stay in China.

Larger towns are bigger than Manchester in China!! lol!! London would be classed as one of their smaller cities, both in size and population numbers....

Got some good companies I use on that province, taken a long time to filter out the bad ones, but the main company I use to make our pcbs, is excellent

It`s a black Friday.......you know this means we get to keep Susan Boyle as part of the deal
And the Krankies. But on the upside, the biggesht hypocrite of all Shir Sean Connery getsh to shtay out of the country for longer sho we don't have to put up with him

Yes the bad ones are slowly but surely going to the wall and the better ones, especially those that export, are getting decidedly getting better and can more than compete with western world producers. Prices however will increase in line with the quality of the products they are now producing along with workers salaries.... All very similar as to how Japan took off in the 60's early 70's, only on a far larger scale...

I wish I’d gone when I had the chance.

I brought her up as a damn good comparison and comparisons is how we normally compare between good to bad!!

I'm no friend or supporter of either of the two political leaders, but i know which one damaged the UK the most, both directly and indirectly at home and abroad!!! lol!!
