Guy's,

C&G do the Part P which relates to England & Wales, is there an equivalent for Scotland?

Cheers

Part P is a building regulation, it is freely available to download, but as far as I know it is not applicable in Scotland.

Just the Scottish Building Standards. Freely available online. However we have no DI designation in Scotland. Whether you register with SELECT or NICEIC it as an Apprived Contrsctor status only. At the assessment they will judge you knowledge of SBS. Otherwise if you don't want to follow that route you can do work requiring a warrant/planning but have to satisfy the LABC of your qualifications and competence. Depending on which LABC is involved that can vary from difficult to letting any Brian Bodger/Dangerous Dave or Peter Plumber do the work!
