Hi what sort of dc voltage could I expect on 16 panels x250watt'.

Not enough info im afraid. 1. Single String or two strings in parallel? 2. Voc of panels? 3. Irradiance in W/M2 at time of test?

220-240 or so if in 2 strings of 8, double that if single string. assuming a standard 30V panel (usually 1m x 1.65m or so)
