Hi, I am attempting to fix a friend's 18" pedestal fan, and I can't find which wires go where on the control. The cables were already disconnected when I got the fan. The fan's brand is SilverPoint. I have Red (or Pink), Green, Grey, Yellow, and White cables the come from the motor to the control. Now, the Red, Green, Grey, and Yellow cables all have continuity among themselves, but none has continuity with the white one. The control is a 3-speed dial control, and it has four places to weld the wires to, three are around the outside edge, and one is closer to the center of the control. I imagine that the central one is where one of the main cables from the plug-in cord is soldered, and the other ones (obviously) are where the cables that produce the different speeds are welded. Now, there is also a capacitor that has two contacts. It says CBB61 on it, and it also has the code: E313931 printed on it. According to me, one of the contacts, had two wires soldered to it originally (I'll call this one the "A" contact of the capacitor, and I'll label the other contact the "B" contact). Now, I imagine that the "B" contact is where the other main cable of the plug-in cord is welded. Could anybody help me know where each cable is welded? I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Claudio

Here are some pictures. I hope this helps, if you need any more detailed pictures, just tell me and I'll try to take them if I can.

Has anyone come up with the proper wiring for this control? I have the very same dilemma.
