Hi

I have a trianco eurostar oil fired boiler, all has been working fine and it has been serviced this year - but last few days it hasn't fired up and when I take front cover off it has an amber light on and I have to push the light/button to get it to fire up, it is then okay again for a day or two before exactly the same happens again

Any ideas/clues as to what I can do please?

its going into lockout is it the light on the boiler control box or the light on the burner unit at bottom of boiler (usually red) if its light on boiler then there is something wrong with the system ie the pump is not working so boiler getting to hot to quickly and locking out, boiler stat not working same result if its light on burner unit then you have a fault in your burner unit ie electronic control unit, photocell or thermocouple sometimes all three are at fault.
