How would you connect the concrete floor to the MET?

How would you make a nice strong joint?

I guess this method would also bond the floor very well.

Great if there was livestock present, it would stop the old Udders from jittering.

In that case take the ''SHALL'' with a very large pinch of salt then!!! I've never seen foundation re-bars welded in the 40 years i've been in the industry... lol!!! They will all be tied together with thin steel wire, like they are everywhere else in the world!!!

Usually tied together with stainless steel wire.

As for connecting to it: drill into the top of a piece purposely left sticking out, tap a thread then connect with a ring crimp and a bolt, cover with grease to stop rusting. Is how I'd do it.

That's not the correct way of connecting to a Ufer earth. There are made for purpose clamps, (see Furse website) if you are using clamps rather than the preferred welded connection (exothermic or brazing) A nice covering of amalgamating tape seals and finishes the job...
