Hi all,

I just wondered what you all thought should be on van sign writting, I will be NIC etc and doing domestic/commercial. Any input will be greatly received! Still got to wait for my 2391 so I assume that will want to go on when I get it! Many thanks, Chris

i think NICEIC do official signs with their logo as for 2391 :S why put that on

just simple Name Number and that your NICEIC should do it its a case or LESS is More

we sub out to a few companys and 1 of there rules is none of there subbies can used signed written vans as they dont like their customers know there using subs just 1 thing to think about but if you dont sub out then theirs no worrys lol

Keep it plain and simple so it is easy to remember if you put to much on its information overload. Whatever you do make sure your telephone numbers are large and easy to see. Ive seen so many vans of various trades and could not clearly see the contact number whcih made everything else pointless.

I'm with acat on this one. My van says what i do and has all the phone numbers on. Dont go buying NICEIC stickers. stickers look awful on a nicely signwritten van. The lad who did mine had all the logos and he did my Elecsa decals digitally and only a fiver a piece fitted when he did the full van, looks so much better.

Cheers.........Howard

PS dont know what area you are in but if you are up north i can highly recommend Signs Here - The Complete Sign Service based in West Yorkshire, Heckmondwike, Cleckheaton, Uk

Many thanks to all of you for your input. I shall be getting it done plain but effective! Also will not be purchasing NIC stickers. I'm in Leicestershire but thanks for the recommendation!

Yes you can get that, I think I would rather get plain magnetics to cover the signs if needed as if they go walkies they will be cheaper to replace that printed ones!

Problem with sign written vans it advertises that there may be something worth stealing

Never had a van sign written as I got involved in a lot of diverse work where customers asked me not to use company liveried vehicles to avoid our company name being connected to what we were doing on site. It did have benefits as I used to carry a lot of high value kit and the vehicle did not advertise this

Just booked mine in for 2 weeks fri.. day after my nic asesment! (not tempting fate or anything!!)

logo
phone numbers (landline + mobi)

niceic logo
trustmark logo

Cheers,

Sy
