Hi guys!

I recently bought a record player from the US (its not available here).

The model is the Pyle PNGTT12RBT

It says its designed to run at 120 V 60Hz.

I was a little confused on what the best approach would be to use it here without damaging it. I've seen plenty of voltage converters online but I'm struggling with the frequency part and I'm not sure if theres something I can get to do both at the same time.

Sorry I don't know much about this stuff - so any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thankyou!

Tammy

dropping the voltage is not a problem, but as it's meant to run on 60Hz, Diana Ross will sound like Louis Armstrong.

There is a similar thread on here and someone brought up a good point. If the voltage is converted to dc at the beginning then the change in frequency should not matter.

If your in the UK ? Then your power is 240v @ 50 Hz
Where's as the American record player needs 120v @ 60Hz.
The records will sound terrible due to wrong speed and burn out due to double voltage.
A voltage adaptor alone will not work because you will have 120v at 50HZ not the 60Hz needed.
If your really keen ?
Then buy an american 12v to 120v invertor
And run it off a 12v supply.
