Best tool for drilling inbetween joists

Hi guys looking to see what you use ad im new to all this,

Was thinking about an angled impact diver? Anyone used one for betweeb joists or got anything better?

If you are drilling, you dont want to use an impact driver, they are for driving big screws into hard wood for example.

A decent angle driver with stubby irwin or armeg wood beaver bits to get through joists.

Hi Tel, yes you are probably right!

Mind you we are both old enough to remember using them!

Also the tommy bar with auger bit in.

Also the rawlplug jumper.

I agree. Before I got mine, I had a B&Q own brand (Performance Pro ?) that cost about £50 with a whole host of accessories that included: stubby flat bits, twist drills, wood drills, assorted screwdriver bits, nut spinners etc. At that price it was a real bargain & lasted quite a while before it wore out.

I still use the accessories with my "new" Makita drill

They are good and let you drill nice straight holes.

Have a 110v sat in the garage doing nothing if the op want to buy one. Its like new.

Right angled drill, used both Makita and dewalt
I had both mains and battery, got fed up with the battery one and sold it.
Still have the Makkita

Go for mains

If you are doing one or two holes every so often the battery one is perfect. But I agree, any more than this you would need a ton of batteries.

I will warn the op though, if you end up with the same one we have be careful, she's a beast! Would take your arm out your socket if it dug in!
