bit of advice please guys. when doing a pir or cu change do you test the central heating wiring which is fed from a fcu off a ring or radial circuit.

No mate, we only I&T fixed wire so take the fuse out of the fcu, disconnect the neon if it has one and test.
 
Agree with paul.m.

The flex is supplied as part of the appliance, i.e. the boiler, so is not part of the fixed wiring of the electrical installation :smile:
