Just watching DIY SOS, some really sad stories, I would love to help out as a volunteer if ever one was in my area, anyone done so?
don't know how they manage with 100 tradesmen in one house but they seem to get there in the end !

The missus was blubbing at the start of the show and at the end a tear nearly wept from my eye's with the sad news about what happened.
Dont know how i would cope if something like that happened to us.
Yeah would definitly help out if given the oppertunity.
Would be more rewarding than working for the mother in law for nowt.

Aindowsimon i've just noticed your location is Caernarfon.

I once got thrown out of a club for being sick on the dance floor/bar area - the bar was a square inside with seating around the edges, and then outside it was in that funny square thing where all the bars are many moons ago...it was opposite a bank. Probably not still there....

Sounds to me like Morgan Lloyd , the funny square thing is wot we welsh folk call " the maes" were the market is held.

The bouncers/morons In town are a bit touchy about things like that . And some one has given them walky talkys now so they can stop you going in to next club as well

My brother did carpet fitting for a few of those shows, it wasn't on a volunteer basis, he was paid, said everyone was.

You're not even trying ....... I've been thrown out of much more salubrious places than Caernarfon.

Keep practising bonny lad - you may manage to reach amateur status one day.
