When we bought our house we changed all the toilet seats to clear plastic with some fun object embedded in it... Goldfish, seashells..... have now grown up and gone back to plain white.

Except our en-suite.... its got barbed wire in it!

Some might say that's tacky...
BTW...that's tacky!
However, I have spent a few hours on t'internet sourcing a water-feature for my hallway...

I am also replacing a '70s glazed screen-wall between the hall and living-room...and I toyed with the idea of that glass where you flick a switch and it goes from clear to opaque...
Turns out it would cost more than the house is worth!
Well, not quite, but pretty damn expensive!

So, if i forget the water-feature, and opt for clear glass in the screen, i could buy a Caterham 7...
Old guy, old toys, ok?

Go out every few hours .......and pee on the hall mirror.
Solved.

My mrs firm had all the directors offices glazed with that stuff and 6 months later the office was pulled down to build the cross rail station at Farringdon. I’m sure they got their money back in spades though.

I suppose they would need a lot of spades/shovels to build the station

Or if a Caterham 7 is too tame...

I'm looking forward to fitting this one out. Why use a saw when you've got a perfectly good hammer......

@streamer That’s what you’ve got to put up with moving to the west side of the country.

Biggest trouble with that one is that there'll be "insecure" plaster around the boxes. If you're lucky the plasterer will carefully square off round the boxes. But if it's like some of them I've seen, they'll half fill the box and you'll have a b***er of a job cutting it out without knocking big lumps off that need to stay.

Why isn't there a site manager throwing the moron off the job ? Makes me despair.

Thrown off site or not, I'd have first dragged him back to replace those sections and deducted material costs from his pay.

Best way of making a point is by hitting them where it hurts most - the wallet.

The wiring in this house is a nightmare, everywhere you look there is something wrong, it was fully rewired in 2012.
