We are using a Bell BL106-4 on the main door. Code entry to open the door, buzzers for each flat. Simple. Only now we want to add access control to a metal gate at the end of a path a mete 10m away. Am I best off adding another Bell BL106-4 at the gate and wiring in-line or is there a smarter way to manage the access in this situation?

why not use a stand alone mechanical unit for the gate?
