I have a kyoritsu (Kewtech) one which I picked up second hand with the leads and test spikes and had calibrated and checked out by a lab before use.
The standard lead set is a bit too short for my liking, but with the addition of my 50m wander lead it works out a bit better.
Test meter have the same model here.

I also have an old megger DET tester that looks similar to this picture but with a yellow case. (And yes that is a winding handle on the side, no need to buy batteries)

When I did my apprenticeship in 1985 we had wind up meggers:-) Thanks for the post, the Kewtech looks a reasonable buy.

I'd have to find it first Rob ! :smile5: But if I do perhaps £20 including posting ? I'm sure it's a Robin.

Just let me know, I don't need that kind of gear in my current job anymore. It would be nice to show some of the young lads how it used to be done.

Plus getting them to hold the leads whilst you crank it is far more satisfying than pressing a button.

Sent you a PM, What do you want for the earth tester?

Sorry, I don't see PM notifications because I use tapatalk.

I'm afraid I only meant that as a bit of a joke, it's out of calibration and I've been unable to get it calibrated. I only ever used it for more of a yes/no indication on temporary event supplies rather than any formal recording of values.
Hence I replaced it with the digital kyoritsu unit, although it did give a very similar result when I compared the two testers on the same earth rod (within 0.5ohm)

It doesn't have the long test leads or test spikes with it either (I used lengths of singles and tent pegs)

Knowing all that then if you still want it then I'll take £25 for it
