I rarely do any electrical work anymore and seem to have forgotten most of what I've learned.
Must be my age.
Anyway, I've been asked to add an extractor fan to a bathroom (with timer) I've done this and added a triple-pole isolator.
What I'm asking is; how are the connections made at the switch?
The existing switch has two neutrals in connector block with a common and L1 making the light work.
How do I introduce the new 3 core and Earth at the switch and into what terminals do they go?
I know it's poor or just a brain freeze but either way, an idiots guide to this would be much appreciated.
Many thanks.

Also you need to make sure the Bathroom wiring and any wiring running through the bathroom is RCD protected.

Thanks Pete.
I probably didn't make myself clear.
There is no 3-core running from the ceiling rose.
The switch has a common and L1 connections with the neutrals in block. Can I introduce a 3 core at the switch (and with what connections) run that 3 core to the triple pole and out of the triple pole into the fan?

Sorry to be thick.
Many thanks.

There will be a permanent live, switched live and neutral and Earth at the switch in the situation you describe, although the switch may be a bit busy it's possible to do the connections in there.
