Are metal doors considered an extraneous metal part to a building, never seen any bonded? i.e painted but with a metal handle?

As with any metal parts you should test them to confirm whether they are extraneous or not, but I doubt that they will be.

However all of the metal doors of the ISO containers at our yard have to be bonded, but that's for lightning protection rather than electrical installation concerns.
