These aren't the same quality as the regular Hitachi we use on the job. Also the batteries are only 1.5ah so not great. Good drill for round the house i reckon for the price.
same goes for the £99 dewalt from screwfix although with the screwfis no quibble guarantee it is a great buy, basically a 925 drill but with a weenie 1.3Ah battery so if you need a lot of power get a 2 or 2.6ah batter as well.
personally I am ok with the 1.3Ah it comes with since I wanted a light drill.
Have a Hitachi corded sds and very appy with that.
roundman, its only 1.5AH batteries, bought one anyway, a drill is not something i would not use day in/ day out, company supplied ryobi 3 speed thing and a year down the line a three hour charge = i cant even drill plastic. the hitachi must be better than that.
well if it is useful to you then it is worth the money. (gotta be better than the Ryobi super slow charge)
I would say to others tho that if you are buying a combi drill, always think about if you REALLY need the hammer function.
Would you be better off with a drill driver and a 24v or 110v hammer drill.
