Hi,
can any one tell me. I have built an extension to my house here and I had a friend of a friend do the electrical work. 5 sockets, switches and lights. It was done with full panning permission, however the friend of a friend said he had a mate who I could call and he would come and certify it as he him self was not qualified. However the mate is never available, or more likly fake!! The work done is of a very high standard and very tidy however , how can I now get this work signed off or certified so I may have the extension signed of as completed by the council.
Does any have and advice or help? I dont want to call the council incase it causes me problems? Can they cover it for me or not?

thanks guys

dan

Well if you have planning for the extension this will (or should) also cover the electrics.
Give the BCO a call & ask what is to be done with regard to testing & certifying.

Easyfox is correct.

If you had permission to do the electrics as part of the planning permission, then the LABC should sub out the test and inspect work.

However, you must have specified the electrical work on the origial planning application
