right!!! i just been pushed into buying a van quicker than i needed!!!!!

My FORD bloody FOCUS has just let me down on the yearly MOT............... i have a full page spread on defects and fails...!!

Corroded Brake Pipes front to back both Sides,
broken Spring
Anti Roll bar have pins sheered off front and Back
2 new tyres
Track Rod end broken
handbrake cable needs replacing
oh
and a number plate light is out (least of problems)

rather than muck about and get another car im diving in and biting the bullet!

well end of story is i have 6 days to rid the vehicle of my possession so just did a trade in with Citroen on an Ex Lease Van (Berlingo Enterprise)

06 plate 28k miles 1 owner from new clean tidy and fully racked out as ex plumber van (upgrading to new model)

Focus = £650 trade in :( but its better than 800 quid to get fixed.!
van = £4495
balance = £3845 NO VAT :):):)
Tested and has couple months Tax ans well...! :)

plus i get 1 year Citroen Warranty as well..! (probably paying slightly over the odds but rather than take chance with a single dealer (plus i need transport for full time job so slightly reliable)

now to release anger at the ford!!! YOU ****ING HEAP OF CRAPPY RUST ****E WITH A STUPID KNOCKING NOISE THAT TURNED OUT TO BE EXPENSIVE YOU CRAPPY LOAD OF ----...

Teach you to take it rallying at the weekend won't it:eek:

Only jesting sorry to here that.

Only one problem with ex lease vans is that the milege is totally false, i took my transporter back a couple of years back after a 3 year lease and had 86k on the clock, when they got it back it had 2 years worth of service stamp and and 44k on clock (had a three year 15k deal).

My new van is a 3 year lease with 10k a year i have done 36k in first 18 months, so estimate 80k at end of deal, and as im not paying excess the milege fairies will help out..

And also remember lease vans are basically thrashed ,,

had a look at paperwork in garage today and it was bought and serviced at the dealership im obtaining from along with full service history and mileage ties in nicely.

in terms of lease it was one of them buy half deals and pay rest if want or upgrade but he upgraded...! hopefully not thrashed but "YOU NEVER KNOW" (self employed plumber so hopefully had bit more sense than the usual company lease stuff where people dont care)

Why not lease a new one , u can get a van for about £160 a month, totally tax deductable and no tax mot or repairs..

did consider that eddie but at minute i have some capital i can use not a lot but want to keep outgoings to a min just in case i ever fancy a change / work dries up

can do the road rage thing!! against my morals...! plus my G/F would slap me, Matter of fact i drive like a girl limits are there for a reason and i judge my speed by how quick i can make the white lines in the middle become 1....!

nah i like my clean License it keeps doors open and it would not look good on my application to be a Hobbie Bobby if i had driving convictions

The thing that gets me is how you were still driving the car with all of those defects, must have known some of it was knackered.....:D

only sign was a knocking noise when turning a corner and was not very interested in it as planned to rid car after april anyway! just hapens to be before ,

cheers mate..!!

noticed ur in bermondsey!
i once evicted some arse hole from the underground at that station, some wide boy who jumped on as doors were closing causing about 10 people to lose balance on packed jubilee service!! any how as usual doors opened and closed quickly as a bag must have been caught some where and mr "bling" went flying off backwards.... luckily doors closed as he got off his arse and was swearing and even pulled a knife to window!! i just waved BYE BYE (with heart in my mouth)

PHEW!!! :eek::eek::eek:

Oh God you're not going to be a hobby bobby are you? theres one of them by me, oh he's such a c-word. Had a massive go at me and my mates when we were late-night sledging back in Jan - he seemed to think that he could get the real police to come and breathalise us for drinking while sledging down a hill, not even anywhere near a road. I won't continue the story as it's fairly boring but the chippy little twonk very nearly got a smack in the mouth AND HANG THE CONSEQUENCES. And now I always see him writing down the details of illegally parked cars (I dont think he has the juristiction to actually write a ticket)

Durham DON'T BE ONE all your mates will hate you. Being a copper is one thing but these jerks are just pathetic.

Wonder how many people I've offended with this post.
