I have a metrel 61557. costing £100 ish off ebay nowadays. Deos all the tests i need it to.

Mega's.....over £600 ish.......

Whats the difference ?????

If the Metrel does all you want from it, the difference is £500 ish in your pocket mate. There is no need to be envious the guy with a Megger because he's probably envious of you getting an MFT your happy with and saving £500 in to the bargain.

Exactly. Is there any reason at all for the difference in prices. A mate got a megga. An he swears by it. But when i ask why.....he cant give me an answer.

its what you have and what your use to using More often than not its also what you have been supplied with hence what your familier using
megger 1552,1553 all the way for me I have used others but keep going back to megger as they are easy and intuetive to use and spare leads ect are redily available not special order ( except the silly plug in 13a plug 0
