Does this electrician exist or is it another way to get info without declaring you are a DIYer even if he is on holiday he would still be logging into his emails checking his phone or even getting someone to do it for him ?????? Hence why I will not input to these types of posts anymore ie spending 2 pages to suss out what is going on. Why do I think this well it is the weekend

I never did ..... for me a holiday was just that - time for myself & family & sod work !!! (and I was self-employed)

Mite just be me lad , but a geet on wi most o them ---- lol.

Did'nt quote , it's the three dropping out again , meant for trev.

It looks like the electrician is getting the OP to do all the dirty jobs and then come back to second fix.
Fair enough, as long as he can see all the cable runs before they're covered up and he's satisfied they're ok.
Maybe the OP wants to do the job on the cheap and this is one way of cutting costs.
However the OP's electrician certainly seems very slack, I would have thought he would have at least marked out all the positions beforehand.

This is what i am doing. He said, it cost 2800 for him to do everything and supply cables. or 1000 if i do the chassing and cable runs and supply cable.

it dont matter....you get a small grinder with a diamond wheel on it....then place the tile where its to go (allowing for grout gaps)...mark off then cut it with the grinder....any flake/spelch from the tile will be hidden by the socket fromt....job sorted....and any tiler or anyone involved in tiling will/should have a small grinder.....

'Spelch' - now there's a good word. Daz
