Been told today by an nic chappy they no longer apply it even when conditions allow . Asked him for the reg and the reply was ( i dont know the reg but its in the red book ) .

Of course they will not apply diversity to a 6mm² radial because any normal oven with separate hob will be over 32A total load and so need a 40A breaker and probably not allow a 6mm² cable (if in conduit), therefore they woudl be applying diversity to a 10mm radial!
Oh hang on then they could use a 32A breaker and a 6mm² cable.

To be perfectly honest I think I would have offered the same advice to your nic bloke as I did to the nic office monkey I spoke to on the phone a few weeks ago, "stick it where the sun shineth not and then proceed to go forth and multiply"
