NICEIC Certification Scheme NICEIC Fire Alarm/Emergency Lighting Course

I've been installing fire alarms for over 5 years, I was on the NIC website and have seen the course that they are offering (Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting)

Has anyone been on the course? Does anyone know if the NIC will give some sort of approval once you have done the course? As I am not registered with them.

Any help with this will be great

Ah, we meet again discussing the same thing!!

I'm due to go on it in August, but that's quite a while away. My boss has just done it and he says it was very good, but I don't think there's any kind of approval linked in with it.

It may be an idea to give NICEIC training a call though and asking about it!

Well I was due to go on the March one, but had another course I had to attend instead, and the next available one was August...

Not sure if I was getting rubbish treatment or not, but it may be worth seeing what they have available sooner rather than later.

Oh not so good, they were advertising it as available to book on the web site.....Hmmmm probably to get people interested, then book them later courses!

It may be that way, worth giving them a call anyway!

EDIT: just realised that you may not be going to their HQ like I am, so dates available may be different!

Can you post back with how the course went please as I am interested.

Did you feel relatively competent by then end? I do not just want a qualification and then mess it all up through poor training.
