Hi guys, we have just developed a MID Approved meter that enables Hybrid Inverters Batteries to be charged/topped up through economy 7 type tariffs, your thoughts/opinions would be appreciated

Currently the DNOs will not allow this, due to the way the meter will clock up export through import whilst discharging, we have simply got over this problem trough the algorithms and automatically deducted one register from the other for the FIT payments.

can you show the workings for how the figures would stack up for charging on economy 7 to offset standard electricity rates?

I've not seen anyone so far be able to actually make those figures work without excluding the actual usage costs of the battery (in terms of the lifecycles of the battery being used). Cheapest lifetime storage cost of lithium ion batteries I've seen is around 8p / kWh.
