Hi All
ive been out of the domestic install scene for a while but ive been offered a lot of work with a kitchen fitter.this will involve replacing C/Us and installing new cooker circuits.Does this mean i will have to do a test certificate to cover the whole installation or just a test on the new circuits.im full scope part P which means i can replace the C/Us but dont believe it covers me to test the parts of the installation that i havent actually installed.Your thoughts on this will be much appreciated.thankyou.paul.

What does full scope part P mean?

Was this given by a CPS - if so what training did you do?
Was this awarded by a training provider - if so what training did you do?

If you can decipher relevant training to warrant the work and you feel confident to do it then it is ok.
It's all about the competence you can prove.

FYI - When changing a consumer unit, every final circuit connected to it - including the ones you didn't touch - will need to be tested. This helps ensuring that ADS can be achieved for your newly introduced protective devices.

If you're in England or Wales you'll save money and hassle by joining elecsa, napit or NICEIC.

hi thanks
youve sort of confirmed what i suspected.i did a part p course run by BPEC just to cover me for domestic work.full scope means all work in domestic installations including special locations.think my next step will be to talk to ELECSA.thankyou.
