Done another practice EICR form this week, and i'm a bit stumped on the reference method box on the schedule of circuits.

Is it acceptable to write LIM in the box, as i have listed in the limitations box that i am not removing floor boards/inspecting cables in concealed locations. So how could i possibly know the reference method?

take your best guess with the cable routing that you can ascertain.
i've never needed to record LIM for ref method.
no one expects hard and fast guarantees from an inspection , which is why the exemptions to hidden wiring is automatically printed on the 1st page of an eicr cert
and as its a domestic 90% of it will usually be clipped direct anyway.

Thanks biff, i had initially written reference method B however i then started to second guess myself and convinved myself that you should never 'assume' anything on a test cert so opted for LIM!

Thanks for the reply
