Can I put a shower switch in the airing cupboard as there isn't a place that would be suitable for a pull cord
 
depends where the airing cupboard is and whether trhe isolator is used purely for isolating or as a switch.
 
As Tel above. Mines like that in my flat. As long as theres no mistaking it for something else

i am good arnt i spin london , have you kept tabs, have i came along way from first comming on this a year ago;) i shall fill your shoes if you pass away, hope you dont but shall!!
 
Well check the zones to be sure, I don't have a regs book in front of me or I would check for you. I would imagine that if you leave the switch in the on postion and don't attempt to switch it off or on from the bath/shower or when touch anything conductive in the bathroom you'll be ok.
