Anyone come across one of these before?
It's in a flat so possible the Landlord may wish to keep out rafter-crawlers, but my customer needs new lights!
There's nothing I can see or feel inside the hole (other than a soft, spongy foam on one side) and I've resisted giving it an almighty pull for fear of bringing down the frame too.

It's probably a square hole inside if you look closely.

A tapered tip slotted screwdriver can be used if you're stuck.

The cheapest ones on eBay are called horsebox keys...

Gaz :)

And a load of dead dackdaws.

Anyone ever wired an electric loft ladder ? Did one around 3 years ago and it's an amazing thing to see in action. :)

Get the tenants to get you access if need be.?

Get your customer to speak to their landlord to arrange access. The whole point of these things is to prevent unauthorised access, so you should get authorisation to access the loft from the person who owns it.

From the title of the thread I was half expecting a picture of someones foot through a ceiling.
