Has anyone else registered with Stroma had problems logging in and subsequent password request emails? I sent 2 requests to reset my password after not be able to log on following an "upgrade" to the member interface, because the first one didn't result in an email. I have just received 96 emails with a link to request a reset, not even an actual password! These guys worry me to be honest.......

I just got a link that actually works and let me change the password, but it won't let me log in and I am just getting a message saying contact Stroma. What a load of rubbish! I have got my assessment coming up soon I wonder what garbage he will come out with this time!

I have no faith in them, I made an attempt to find out about joining, was expecting a phone call you talk things over, all I got was an email asking for £280, hadn't even spoken to anyone about what was required etc! And the emails just kept coming.....I contacted them to say I wasn't happy with the way they had dealt with my application and that I wouldn't be looking to join anymore, they got back saying ok no problem, I've been cot acted various times since then asking about payment so they can set up an assessment etc, and also if I have received info regarding my assessment, madness! I hate all the scams money grabbing blood suckers!

To be honest I think guys get a bit too worried about this, it's all quite simple really. As long as you can demonstrate you have the required quals and fulfil their requirements for insurance/documentation/test gear along with a decent system for keeping track of it all you just pay up your dosh and wait for the assessor to turn up. Then you bite your tongue while he talks bollox for a few hours and if your unlucky correct any defects and bingo your in. It's a damn site cheaper than paying building control. On my last one he said 95% of the guys he fails have inadequate qualifications.

Cheers bud,you got it...

The IT side of these corporations, big and small, are all fantastic until they're not...

Had 15 minutes of my life, stolen today, when my aged parents received a bill from National Grid,of £682,for a non-chargeable meter move...from 2009!

The befuddled call assistant, said it was not a bill (it stated"to be paid in 30 days"),she said it was an internal memo (it arrived "externally" to my folks address) ,then it was a "credit"....but no cash was going to arrive...

I got to the stuttering, combined with long pauses, before advising an "externally posted" letter of explanation/apology...which was promised.

We shall see...:dozey:

Can you use those 2 words in the same sentence?
only if you include the following...

money grabbing leeches, useless, waste of space, etc., etc.

Having to spend a couple of days visiting relative in hospital. Today took my free copy of latest issue of 'connections' kindly sent to me in the post by Elecsa/NIC. Reading the CEO's thoughts, and then opposite page their Tech Confernce next at Epsom racecourse for £29+vat. Turn the page and read the NIC have been updating our colleagues from Gilbraltar, all 30 of them. Course they didn't have to travel to some sporting complex to receive a 17th Edition update, the NIC team of technical experts put themselves out and travelled to Gilbraltar instead, along with its in-house testing facilities & workshop. How unselfish of them. Glad to see my subs are being wisely spent. Have to invest in some shares in Elecsa/NIC. Could attend the AGM, and shout abuse from the back.
