Hi Guys,
Been to do a pir today in an hmo house and all the emergency lights had test switches
exept one,is it a problem?

It doesn't pose any risk to safety, but a test switch would provide an appropriate means of testing the emergency lights.
Any idea why this one doesn't have a keyswitch?

Hi Adam,
Thank you for your reply, there have been several electricians over the years working on this building
I suspect the guy that did this just couldn't be bothered to fit one.I put it down as recommend key switch
be fitted, but i wasn't sure if it broke any regs by not having a test switch.could not find anything about
it in regs book.

Dont think anyone will be looking to hunt anyone down over it, put it that way. Often, emergency lights have a test featur and/or button on it, wouldnt worry though. (Famous last words?)
