I have recently had a towel rail fitted in a bathroom which I want removed. Can I legally remove the towel rail myself as I am not qualified or must this be done by a Part P electrician? I know I can't fit a towel rail but not sure about removal.
Many thanks

if it was recently installed, you should have a cert. from the sparks who installed it. might be a good idea to contact him, as you would be " interfering" with the job for which he has signed his name

I would remove it yourself. Isolate and test. remove cables etc and you should be fine . If the public are forced to call us for everything, we all end up losing in the end !

Long story but is this def legal as at loggerheads with sparky who fitted wrong rails but now refuses to sort the problem out, also refuses to supply cert. as I threatened to remove them.
