Discuss Verifying earthing of a property before carrying out any work! in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Have been doing a 2357 since september 2012 and just wanted to verify some concerns i have witnessed while being at work.

As an apprentice i have many questions , after all i will be out on my own in the not so long future so need to be sure i don,t get things wrong.

james :)

If your doing an aprentiseship, and only started 6 months or so ago, it's not going to be any time soon that you'll be out there on your own!! I bloody well hope not anyway!!...lol!!

What i don't understand is that, too all intended purposes this is a PME installation, and you or your boss has contacted the DNO informing them that you have no Ze value at the service cut-out. This situation is normally taken as a priority situation by the DNO's, and should be attending within the hour, or certainly within a very short period of time.
